One of the hardest parts about moving into a new home is remember to shut off all of the utilities at the old place. Of course, getting clear internet bundle had to be accomplished as well. Calling the phone company, signing up for satellite tv and making sure that the power is turned on is paramount in being able to enjoy the surroundings.

This is a hectic time, with everybody worn to a frazzle between directing traffic with the movers and saying goodbye to old friends in the neighborhood. It is a kind of melancholy time with people in flux due to circumstances and attitudes.

Whether this move was presumed or a result of job relocation, it can be a most inopportune time to forget something important. However, this always seems to happen, like the last move where the antique china was left in storage, since there wasn’t room to display it during the renovation.

Whereas moving in a new home can be a fabulous experience, the whole notion of a seamless transition can be thrown out the window. No matter how thorough the planning is, there is just no way to predict the all of the obstacles life can throw at you. But all in all, this is one chore that is well worth it in the end.
